Family time

This is how we got to spend Friday night!

\\
Loving on pretty little Gracie girl!  We got to visit with Kevin, Courtney and Noah too.

Apparently, Yo Gabba is more interesting than a picture!

Saturday was spent at a family baby shower for sweet Cousin Jennie.  She is having a little girl in December.  They flew in from Colorado so we could shower her with lots of well wishes and love.  We are excited to meet baby Lizzie!  Here are a few pics from the wonderful shower.

River weekend

We took our little family of 3 to the river for a relaxing weekend.  Kate really enjoyed the change of scenery and Erik enjoyed relaxing!  ( I didn't bring the LIST--you know the list to do before Abbey gets here!) We played in the Guadalupe, took tons of pictures of Kate, ate out or got take out, and lounged in a comfy king bed.  What a treat!  I am thinking a king bed is a must!  Maybe one day!

Kate wanted all the animals to get a turn.
We have some major changes coming in the next couple of weeks.  Not only is Kate going to be a big sister, but she is starting a MDO or pre-school 2 days a week.  She starts next Wednesday at a church very close to our house.  I am nervous as to how she will do.  Lately when I talk about school she always asks, "Mommy come too?" That seems to be her favorite question these days!  Honestly, I think she will do great.  I am excited about her being around other kids and becoming more independent.  We shall see....

Practicing giving her new baby doll a bottle.  Thanks Tammy for the new baby.

Nap time or not!

So, as I am typing this I am trying to contain my laughter.  Kate is supposed to be napping.  All I here from her is, "Uno, cinco, ocho--- good counting Kate!" Then followed by an, "3, 6, 9, 10" and a very loud rendition of, " A B C D F G!"

Oh the joys of a 21 month old!  This silly girl has stolen my heart.

I will end this with what Kate just hollered, "Mommy Daddy come BACK!"

To get her or not???

Beach Trip

We headed out to Galveston on Friday.  Susie and Don organized a fun in the sun weekend for the Schindewolf family.  We cannot thank them enough.  We had a great time hanging out, playing in the ocean and spending some quality time together.  Kate loved hanging out with Tripp, Traci and Carl too.  She played in the ocean, the sand and loved collecting seashells.  On our way in town, Kate saw the ocean and said, "It's beautiful!" I don't think I would describe Galveston as beautiful, but Erik and I got a good laugh.

Popsicles on the beach. What a treat!

The last picture about sums up the trip!  Lots of laughs, crazy beach hair and normal bedtimes were definitely on vacation!

Thanks again for the wonderful time Susie and Don!  We had a BLAST in "Beautiful" Galveston as Kate would say :)

This was Kate's 2nd time to visit the beach with Coach and Susu.  Here is a pic from last September.

Just wait until our Schindewolf Beach trip next summer with Abbey and Tucker.  I bet Coach is already planning it :)

Thanks for checking in,
Kristen

New Look

Kate got a new hairstyle yesterday.  She loved her "ponytails!"  She even wore them on a special ice cream date with Mimi and Pa.  She is finally getting some hair!

Sweet Friends

Last night my sweet friend, Erin, organized a fun dinner for me and Abbey.  It was such a treat to get some of my best girlfriends together and have a relaxing dinner at Black Walnut.  Abbey was spoiled by all the gifts and is already so loved.  Thank you to everyone who could make it and help celebrate our little blessing.

Thanks Erin!

I'm so thankful for all my sweet girlfriends and family
Speaking of Abbey, I am almost 34 weeks pregnant!  She is still very active and getting to be a pretty big girl.  I am still in disbelief that we are well into August now.  Kate will be 21 months old soon and a big sister in no time!  I hope Erik is ready to handle a household of ALL girls :) Let the fun begin!

What would a post be without a picture of this little darling?  Here she is doing her "sad" face!  She was anything but sad last night while Mommy was at her dinner.  Kate, Erik and Pa had a special date to Double Dave's for some yummy pizza.  There was no sad face last night, just a face full of cheese pizza :)

Lunch date with Daddy

So fun, but so exhausting being oh so silly!  Can you say Daddy's girl?
