Our weekend

Kate earns stickers by staying in her big girl bed during naps and bedtime. She earned her 10 stickers, so she got to go to Bouncin' Bears She requested Trippey be there too. So, on Saturday morning Erik, Kate, Don, Susie, Trippey, Tucker and Traci all went to Bouncin' Bears. Abbey and I missed out on the fun :(

In other news, we just played and played as Kate likes to say! We had a family date to chick-fila on Friday then had our sweet neighbors over on Saturday. Sunday evening we had dinner at the Schindewolf house. We always look forward to those dinners :)

And the final bit of news...... All 4 of us napped on Sunday AT THE SAME TIME!! Exciting, I know :)

Lately

We have been some busy bees (as Kate would say)  around here lately! Last week, the girls took their first wagon ride together!  Abbey had a blast.  Kate even washed and dried the wagon before we needed it.  She really likes washing and drying everything!  The slide, the swings, the coffee table and even helps me mop!  I wish this would carry over to cleaning up the playroom.

Happy birthday COACH!  We love you!

Abbey has been sporting all of Kate's clothes lately!  The summer sizes seem to work great--so far.  I love being able to use all the cute things Kate wore.  Check out Kate in the same dress below.   In my opinion, they look nothing alike :) Except maybe the chunky arm rolls.

Big Girl = Big Bed

We have done it! Kate is no longer in her crib. SHE IS IN A BIG GIRL BED. Honestly, she is not napping much anymore, so we figured why not? She did sleep in it last night with only a few minor problems. I have to admit, it was nice to snuggle with her for a bit. The first time she saw her bedding she said, "Holy moly this is beautiful!" I about died :) She is such a funny girl! The bed she is using is the bed I used when I was growing up. I love the fact that she gets to sleep in it now. Thanks for the idea Mom, and for painting it Dad. Kate loves it. Our girl is growing up.

I think Abbey loves it as much as Kate :) Let's hope for a restful night for our big girl and her tired but happy parents--- goodnight!

7 months old

Abbey is now 7 months old! This has been such a great month for our "little Babber Boo" She is on to stage 2 baby food and enjoying all the new blends! So far, she still loves sweet potatoes the best! We are still waiting for our dumpling to sleep through the night consistently. We are up anywhere from 3:45 to 5:00 each night. She does go right back to sleep after a bottle though. I have never been good with letting them cry it out! Abbey Is sitting up much better and loves playing with Kate. One of her favorite things, beside her Daddy, is getting in Kate's bed and kicking and eating Kate's blanket. It is so funny. Speaking of funny, Kate has made Abbey laugh by making silly faces. Here are a few pics if our sweet little blessing! Happy 7 months "little chunky" as Kate calls her!

Easter 2012 Part 2

Here are a few shots from Easter morning.  Kate & Grace wore our old Easter dresses and they looked so sweet.  We are so glad Mom saved them all these years :)  What a special treat to see our little babies wearing the same dresses all these years later!  It was a circus trying to get all their pictures together. 

Grace is so social and adores Abbey.  She is always waving and gets so excited!  I forgot how fun 1 year olds can be!  She called Abbey baby and she can now say Abbey :)  I can tell they are going to be the best of friends.  Grace is a spitting image of my sister and we love it!!

Happy first Easter precious Abbey!  This could be my all time favorite picture of our little doll.  She enjoyed the river too and even slept in a pac in play in the "baby cave" aka the laundry room :)  Grace used to sleep through the night in there.  But no such lucky with Babber Boo! (Abbey) She still gets up at least once a night.  Maybe she was just excited about the Easter Bunny??

 We forgot to give Abbey her basket when she had her pretty dress on :( But, she loved her new chewer things and was happy to get a few new things!! 

Prince Noah doesn't seem to mind being the only boy!  These two got along pretty well.  They love riding their hot wheels on the deck and trying to catch rolly polleys.  They probably ate 200 jellybeans between the two of them!

Time to put away the Easter decorations!  Kate will be so sad.  She always asks me--which holiday is next??

Easter 2012 Part 1

We spent the long Easter weekend at the Guadalupe river with the whole family!  Things went great considering we have an almost 3 year old, a 2 1/2 year old, a 13 month old and a 7 month old!!  It was busy busy.  These pictures are from Friday and Saturday.  I will save the Sunday pics for another post.  Happy Easter everyone :)
