Sisters

Kate and Abbey are playing together these days!  Kate is slowly doing a better job of sharing "her" toys.  Although, she still uses the dining room table as a safe spot.  I will find puzzles and other toys up there, so Abbey can't reach them :(

Abbey is beginning to think she is a big girl.  She is using a tooth brush, eating in a booster seat at the table, watching her DVD screen in the car, and getting a hair cut---all like her sister!  The days are going by so fast!  I can't believe my little Abbey is going to be ONE in a few weeks.

Our BIG girl Kate has meet the teacher this week for her second year of pre-school.  Luckily, she has one of the same teachers as last year, Mrs. Ashley, and Kate adores her.  Kate also starts gymnastics on Thursday.  She has been talking and talking about gymnastics ever since the Olympics.  Kate would cheer USA- go Ali! go Gabby!  Then Fantastic Gymnastic Dora aired and Kate was hooked.  Mimi and Pa got her a leotard and she was been twirling and balancing for weeks now!  I hope she loves it.  Susu is planning on coming to the class with us.

After a little hair cut
September is just around the corner and ours is shaping up to be a busy one!  I will keep you posted on life with our big girls.

A Special Night

Saturday night we had a BIG family party!  Erik's mom, Susan, has a huge family.  I am talking around 60 people.  Uncle Stevie and Aunt Jeanette were so sweet to offer up their "compound" for the festivities.  By festivities, I mean water balloons, swimming pools, boat rides in the pond, hot wheels, soccer goals and all being together.  It was very special and a night we will always remember. A night of laughter, stories, yummy food and fun.  It doesn't get much better than that!

Marshies $12.99

Someone got a fancy new something at "Marshies" (Marshalls)!  She has twirled, danced, jumped, played Mermaids, played Princess, laughed and performed!  Best $12.99 I've spent in a long long time.  Kate has named her new favorite store Marshies :)

What a fun stage this is!  I love my big twirling princess girl!

Hello 11 months

Hello personality! I have always described Abbey as the "sweetest thing!" but the past 2 weeks have added a few other words when describing our precious little one! Here are a few things our "busy" girl is doing----
-crawls super fast
-pulls up on everything
-can walk a few steps behind a walker
-PROTESTS nap time
-took her diaper off in the crib yesterday!
-laughs at Kate
-tried squeezie baby food (spinach, pear & mango blend) to up her iron
-waves, dances, brushes her hair, loves the real house phone, says bye, hi and dada. Still no momma!
-likes Elmo and kissing her baby doll (and Parker Amend!)
-smiles and laughs when we say NO!
-plays peek a boo
-loves putting things in and out of baskets
-went on the merry go round for the 1st time
We have enjoyed the past 11 months so much! We look forward to all the "busy" days ahead!

Days Gone By

So, here we are in August.  I realized I have a million pictures of the summer that I have yet to post.  Pictures I definitely want printed in my blog book and moments I want my girls to remember.  This summer we have laughed...

We played with some wonderful old friends...

 and some new friends :)
We celebrated Noah's 3rd birthday!

I got to drink some wine, share some laughs and paint a pretty picture with my sweet friends.

We spent the 4th of  July playing at the river.

We loved on Daddy.

We played "twisty" with Susu
And lots lots more...

Looking forward to lots more laughing and fun in the sun!
