Halloween Weekend

Friday we had a big celebration with Erik's family. Three of his little cousins celebrated their birthdays. As you can tell, the kiddos wore their costumes. It was a fun night and we enjoyed seeing everyone.
The family...all 7 of us!
That includes baby Kate & baby Tripp.

Saturday was spent carving pumpkins, icing Halloween sugar cookies, dressing up in costumes, and hanging out with some really good friends and family. Enjoy the pics. They say it all!!

Just a regular pumpkin...

One big belly, one big pumpkin and two outie belly buttons :) Erik is such a good sport!

We had a nice relaxing Sunday. Noah was at my parents and we got some more time with him.

Here is some news on Baby Kate--we go to the Dr. tomorrow for our 36 week ultrasound. We have not had an ultrasound since the end of August. Our Dr. is hoping to get a better estimate on when Kate will grace us with her presence and how big she is going to be. I will update this week.

My Tuesday

Look how I got to spend my Tuesday......

I don't think it could have been any better!! Erik and I spent Tuesday night in Katy visiting the Coston family. We cannot believe how our little nephew has changed. He is making all kinds of sounds, loves to play and just melts your heart. He is still Mr. Smiley!! It was so nice to see Court and Kev again. I had not been to Katy in quite a while and have really missed Noah. Erik and I even practiced changing diapers and putting Noah in his pj's. Hopefully, we will see them all again soon!

Rich & Kara's Wedding

We had such a fun weekend. The weather was perfect for a beautiful wedding---and beautiful it was!! Erik was a groomsmen in our dear friends Rich and Kara's wedding. Needless to say, our weekend was packed with all the wedding festivities. We had a wonderful time seeing old friends and celebrating. Here are a few pictures from the rehearsal dinner and wedding.

The Nursery

It has been so fun decorating the room for our baby girl. We have had lots of help. Uncle Carl, Adam, my Dad and Erik all painted and/or helped put up the bead board. It was quite a big project. A big shout out to my momma and her sewing skills. She made a crib sheet, a cover for the changing pad, helped with the bulletin board, made a liner for the dirty clothes hamper and jazzed up the curtains. It has been great decorating with my mom---as usual :) Susie made the fun blanket that is hanging over the rocker. It matches perfectly! As you can tell, I love bright pink and green.

A Weekend Full of Showers!

And I'm not talking about rain showers. This weekend was a blast! I had a wonderful shower on Saturday morning and I helped host a bridal shower for my dear friend Jodie on Sunday. As I type this I am exhausted, the best kind of exhausted!

Adria, Tammy, Mrs. Terrie, Erin and Courtney gave me and baby Kate the most beautiful shower. The food was delicious, the decorations were so sweet, and I loved all the fresh flowers in bright pink. They really out did themselves. I was so touched to see all my friends that were able to make it. It was so neat to look around the room and see such special friends from all different parts of my life. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Small group friends. Katy even flew in from Rotan, TX.
These are some great girls!!

My teaching friends. Donna is missing!
These ladies kept me sane for 3 years.

The oh so cute diaper wreath. Great job Courtney & Mom!

Yummy brunchy food. Tammy made the best homemade cinnamon rolls.
I'm afraid I can never eat another Pillsbury.

Halie, Mrs. Terrie and my momma.

Katherine & Jessica

You would not believe all the gifts this little baby got!
We are more than ready for her now--THANK YOU :)

Align LeftPretty flowers everywhere. Adria's house looked absolutely beautiful!

Now for Sunday... I met Jodie in college. We were teammates at TAMU. She was a couple years older than me, but we really hit it off right away. She even introduced me to Pat Green and Laynes chicken fingers. Talk about a good friend :) She is one of the most thoughtful people I know and am so happy for her and Todd.

Andi, Jodie and Me. I love these girls!

Group photo with Angie and Heather.

Tomorrow I am 33 weeks along. I have realized I haven't posted one of those lovely individual belly shots in quite awhile. (Not that you can't see the growing belly in all these pictures) So, here it is...

Yes, my feet are now swelling. I know, it will be worth it!
And I am sucking in--can't you tell!

I sure hope we are ready to be parents! Good thing both sets of ours have set a wonderful example of how to be amazing parents.

Thanks for reading this long post! I told you it was a great weekend :)

32 weeks pregnant

I am officially 32 weeks pregnant. I remember when we found at towards the end of March that we were expecting our little miracle. I can't believe we have only 8 weeks left. I am going to the Dr. every 2 weeks, but soon that will change to every week. We are starting some of our classes this week at the hospital, and we have picked a pediatrician. My friend Melissa was such a big help with this decision. I appreciate your input Melissa! I was very fortunate not to have terrible morning sickness during the 1st trimester. I can only remember a few times when I found my head in the toilet. I also had some cravings. Let's see where to begin- please keep in mind these were not all at the same time. Grapefruit, crunchy Cheetos, watermelon, peanut butter and all sorts of fruit! (Also an occasional butterfinger and oreo!) These days Kate is rolling, moving and kicking up a storm. I usually feel her in the morning and at night when I am laying down. It is such an amazing feeling. We are excited to meet this little baby in less than 2 months. Now would be the time to insert a belly shot picture, but I am already in my pj's. So sorry :)

Birthday Week!

We have a lot to celebrate around the Schindewolf house these days. Erik turned 28 on the 1st and I turn 28 on the 7th. We are 6 days apart. I had this wonderful blog entry planned for Erik's big day however, we have been without internet for the past 5 days. I am typing this at my parents house. Hopefully, our technology problems will be solved before the weekend is up!

Erik's parents took us to a yummy bday dinner at Pappasitos on Wednesday night. That is one of our favorite places to go. Carl, Joe and Karen joined us for some fajitas and some RJ Goodies cupcakes. Erik's favorite- thanks Susie! Of course, the whole restaurant sang to us. I guess you never get to old for that! It looks like the birthday bandit has struck again. Aunt Janelle surprises you with a fun bday sign for your yard. Erik saw it the morning of his birthday. I have put a picture below.

To continue the celebration we went to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs of Saturday morning. It is 3-D and so good! This was one of Erik's favorite books growing up, so we had to go see the movie. That night we had the Burkes and our parents over for dinner and to watch the Aggies. Well, the dinner was good. Not the game. Noah got to come as well. Court and Kev were celebrating their 1st anniversary, so my parents got to keep Noah. He was a little bit of a party pooper though! He got to try out Kate's crib. We hope you had a good weekend. I will be posting pics of the nursery soon.

When you are 28 apparently it is ok to grow a beard!!

Thanks Aunt Janelle for the bday sign!

Soon this will be baby Kate! I don't think Noah minded the pink!
