Kate, Abbey, Tripp & Tucker

We had a fun morning playing at Coach and Susu's house. Traci brought over her boys and we supplied the girls :) Kate and Tripper Doodle (Kate's new name for him) are so crazy together! They run and play with so much energy!!! I can't imagine what will happen when Abbey and Tucker are on the go. Lookout Schindewolf Lane! Thanks for having us Susu and Coach!

Here are a few pics of the cousins from the past couple of weeks. We love going to play on Schindewolf Lane! -- just look at all the smiles.

Scooter!

Our big girl is now potty trained!  We are so proud of her.  She insists on telling us when she needs to potty.  It is always a NO when we ask her- Ha ha.  Always on her own terms.  She loved getting stickers and jellybeans, of course.  She really loved this new scooter from Mimi and Pa.  This momma couldn't be happier!  Only one in diapers.:)

Way to go Kate!!

Spring Break on the River

The girls and I headed up to the river with my mom, God love her!  We finally made it after an unhappy Abbey, way too much Dora and traffic.  All four of us were happy when we pulled up.  Mom and I had some much needed happy hour as soon as we walked in:)  My dad and Erik joined us later in the weekend.  We had so much fun!  I hate how out river vacations always seem to go by so fast.  Enjoy the pics!

Going on a Berry Hunt

We have this little place down the road where you can pick strawberries.  It is seriously 2 minutes away from our house.  We decided to take the girls on Tuesday afternoon for some berry pickin.  Kate had so much fun with Mimi!  The whole morning I was telling her not to pick the green ones and she did a pretty good job.  I think she liked the bunny rabbits just as much as picking the berries--ha ha.  I am so happy we did this fun little adventure :)

I took Kate to school this morning and she was so excited to tell her teachers about her fun day.  She said, "I went to pick strawberries.  And I did not pick the green ones!"  Abbey liked it too.  I don't think she made a peep the whole time.  And Mimi, she is just the greatest :)

Where to begin?

So, the rest of February didn't get any better.  In fact, it got SO much worse.  Poor Abbey has been through the ringer.  I don't even know where to start!  She had a nasty case of bronchitis with a terrible cough.  This caused her to throw up after she would eat her bottle.  It was awful.  Now, this is not my first baby so I know the difference between spit up and THROW up.  It was everywhere and our poor poor Abbey.  She was miserable.  I took her to the Dr. 2 Mondays ago for a repeat visit.  She just wasn't getting any better and feeling so bad.  Well, before we left she fell off the table at the pediatricians office.  It was the worst thing ever.  I hate thinking about it and debated on even putting it on here.  She screamed and cried immediately.  The Dr. came back in and said nothing was broken---praise the Lord. But to take her to the ER, to do a CAT scan.To make a long story short, she has 2 fractures in her skull.  She had her 1st ambulance ride, 2 cat scans and a trip to Texas Children's Emergency room.  Not fun for anyone, let alone a little 5 month old.  She had a concussion for 5 days and finally snapped out of her "fog" the Friday after it happened.  We could not have been happier.  All of a sudden, she was smiling and grabbing her sister and toys.  Praise the Lord.

poor little love

Kate would say, " It's ok Abbey the medicine will make you better. Don't cry!"

Doing better :)
Kate, has been busy learning important new things like this.....

That's right---Potty time around here!  So far so good.

Fairy wings as a reward for 3 days without an accident!  Love this silly girl to pieces.

We took this picture weeks ago, but it cracks me up!!! And we can use all the laughs we can get these days.

We are glad to leave February behind us and look forward to a healthy March!
