Halloween PARTY

Everyone is actually looking!
Erik's family has done it again.....another super fun all out decorated Halloween party.  The party had different games, a spooky woods, pony rides, food, a fire pit, bull riding, moon walk and most important all the family!  Thank you so much Starr and Cowan family for hosting an outstanding bash :) I can't imagine all the time and hard work you all put into this party.

Little Butterfly toddling around

The Richards plus cousin Scott

I've got some good eaters
As far as costumes, Abbey was a butterfly and Kate was Doc McStuffins (a Disney show Dr. who takes care of stuffed animals) Although, Kate did not want to wear the Dr. coat, the magical stethoscope or the glittery headband!  Oh to be almost 3 and have such an opinion.  Lord help me!

Coach even came in costume

Lots of FUN

Big Girls

You can do it Kate

So serious
Off to the Spooky woods
Susu even made it :)

Nathan & Max
We got the girls bathed and in their matching Elmo jammies. They were both exhausted, but still managed to jump on Abbey's mattress. We actually are experiencing some cold weather, so we put her warm sheet on for the night. Let's hope it does the trick for a full nights sleep :)

The party never ends :)

Pumpkins

Last Sunday we loaded up the girls for a trip to the pumpkin patch.  I would like to say it was NOT a cool  refreshing fall day.  It was hot and humid with no breeze.  Only in Houston are you sweating at Pumpkin Patch in mid October :) We rode the train which both girls enjoyed then snapped a few pics.  We also painted and bedazzled little pumpkins.  Abbey even attempted to get in on the action.  We ended the day with some park time.  Now that is what I call a fun day :)

Happy fall!

Flower Girl

This past weekend Kate was a flower girl.  Erik's cousin, Shayna, got married and Kate got to be a special part of it all.  We have been talking this up for months and Kate knew to walk slow and smile :)  Well, she ended up doing a perfect job!  She felt like such a big girl and was so proud of herself.  We were all so proud too!

We had a great time at the rehearsal, wedding and reception.  We enjoyed getting to see all the relatives and celebrate Shayna and Kyle.

And Abbey girl got to have Hannah, the best baby sitter ever, all to herself!

31 Continued...

So far, 31 has been good to me.  My bday celebrations started off in Katy at my sister's house.  They spoiled us with a fantastic lunch, some bubbly and even a cake!  Thanks Court & Kev for making me feel so special and start my thirty first year off right. The kids had a blast together (minus a few, "I won, NO I won" incidents!) Those Coston's are competitive j/k.

Sunday, the 7th was my actual birthday.  We loaded up the girls and headed to College Station to watch a soccer game.  It was alumni weekend and we enjoyed seeing some of our old friends!  Kate loved the game and Abbey was a little demanding but overall it was a success!  Coach G even gave Kate a high five and she was so pumped :)

That night my parents got to come over for a pizza party and lots of fun!  Thanks Mom and Dad for racing home from the river to make me feel so special!  I am one lucky girl.

You would think my birthday celebrations would stop there BUT leave it to my sweet sister in law to have us over on Thursday.  Traci made us dinner and got us a cake too!  It was so great to have Susan, Don, Carl, Traci, Tripp, Tucker and my girls all singing Happy Birthday to Erik and me :)

Abbey actually took her first real steps on Thursday!  We are so happy and proud of her.  She has been a knee walker for awhile now, but not anymore.  Lookout Kate your sister is gonna really get you now.

Thanks to everyone for spoiling us!  The next bday in the family is Kate.  She will be 3 going on 15 :)

31

We are 31!  Erik celebrated his big day on the 1st.  We had a little family party for him the night before.  His mom and dad were so sweet to bring his favorite, Papasitos.  He got lots of new clothes and lots of love from his two sweet girls.

Can you tell the top of the cake is missing?  Erik & I decided to have a piece the night before :)

On the night of his actual birthday we went to PF Changs with a couple of our oldest and dearest friends.  It was so nice to catch up with Andy, Kelly, Rich & Kara.

Here they are before High School Graduation 2000

Here is Erik blowing out his candles in 1990.  He was 9 years old.

And here he is 22 years later blowing out his candles on his cookie cake with his girls :)

Erik's birthday was a happy one :)  How could it not be with these two little loves.

Details of mine to come...
