Beach Trip

We packed up and headed on a little end of summer vacation. Fun in the sun with the Schindewolf family---you can't beat it! Kate got her first taste of the beach. She loved going on vacation with Grammy and Coach, and so did we! Thank you Judy and Jim for sharing your beach house. We left Friday afternoon and headed back on Sunday. We got lots of time in the sun, found tons of sea shells. threw the football, flew a kite and we all enjoyed seeing Kate take it in!








As you can see, we had a wonderfully relaxing time.

10 Months Old

Happy 10 month birthday Kate!

You are the one who has made us happier than we ever thought possible for the past 10 months. You have been very BUSY this month and I hate to say it, but you are not my little baby anymore. You are getting so big and strong. You have a very determined personality, you love to give kisses (even to your dolls!), and you enjoy blowing bubbles with your daddy. This past month you discovered pointing, airplanes, birds, the window blinds, clapping and are beginning to dance! Your two top teeth have broken in, so now you have 4. You are so very fun. Sometimes I still can't believe you are mine!

My friend, Erin, had a post on her blog a few weeks back about some of her favorite things. Well, I thought it was a great idea. So, here are a few of Kate's favorite things and some of her not-so favorite!

Favorites....

Standing by the windows and knocking on them

Removing all your dolls, frames and knick-knacks from
your dollhouse book shelf. Daddy swears you are on to the third shelf now!

Peek-a-boo

Her butterflies in her room

The door stoppers.
She discovered these at Aunt Karen's house and finds them very entertaining.
(This outlet is now child proofed--fyi)

You still love your bath time.

Just like you did when you were 2 months old.
This was January 2010. So little!!

Not so Favorite....

BIBS! You rip them off with a vengeance.

Not a fan of the diapie change.
It is practically a two man job now!

Labor Day 2010

We packed up and headed back to the Guadalupe River for a nice relaxing Labor Day Weekend. My mom and dad rented a 3 bedroom house, so there was plenty of room for the whole family. Kate tubed the river for the first time. Thank goodness I had a bottle with me. I think it was the saving grace. She was content for the 35 minute float. We did a nice easy stretch of the river in my parents neighborhood---no rapids. We are all looking forward to the many memories to be made at the river. Less than 2 months until the house is complete!

We headed over to Aunt Karen's house for a late lunch on Monday. It was definitely worth rushing back for! We enjoyed visiting with everyone. It was fun to see Kate and Tripp interacting!
