1st hair cut

Kate got her first real haircut last weekend. It was not really needed! I just thought maybe if we trim up the back it might start growing a little thicker. Erik thought I was being absolutely ridiculous :) Kate was a good girl for the 2 minutes it took for Robbie to "layer" the back.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In other news----Kate is learning to dip her food. She is obsessed with ketchup and I hate to say it----syrup! We made some carrot (yes carrot) pancakes the other morning and she had such a fun time "diiiip" ing them into the syrup. Needless to say, she went immediately into the tub after her breakfast. Here is an action shot.

Kate is also learning to color. She seems to like the color blue! Every crayon she picks up she says, "Buuu."

Thanks for checking in! We hope you are having a great weekend.

14 months old & a pure delight!

So, sweet Kate is officially a 14 month old. I told myself that I would not update monthly after the big 1 year celebration, but there are a few things I do not want to forget! Here are a few things my "little tornado" (thanks for the nick name Court) is up too.

-She is a chatter box (I wonder where she gets that!)
-Her new thing is we say "Who loves Dada?" and she raises her hand and says, " I DO!" You can pretty much insert any name and she will say it. She says it with such authority :) It is precious.
-She loves to kick and throw balls. (We might have a tom boy on our hands) E loves this!
-On the other hand, she adores her baby dolls. She pats their backs and says, "Burp Burp."
-This girl loves to eat. I am talking all the time. We have been practicing the word please. Just this week she will do the more sign (touch her finger in her opposite hand thanks Aunt Courtney for teaching her the sign) and now says PEESSS. It is music to my ears :)
-Kate has been saying PaPa and Mimi for my parents and she now says Coach for Erik's dad. We are thinking she is saving the best for last---Grammy. I think the G is tricky for her :) She also can say Tripp and Noah (She puts her own little twist on her cousins names.)

Speaking of cousins, Kate is going to have another cousin in mid March. My sister and Kev are having a baby GIRL :) We can hardly wait for baby Grace to join our family. I wonder how Kate is going to feel when she has to share her PaPa.

Thanks for checking in on our BIG TODDLER :)

Sliding into 2011

Erik got off a little early last Friday and met us at a fun park in Tomball. Last time we were there Kate was too little to enjoy it all. This time she had a BLAST with her daddy! She was so brave and wanted to go down all the big slides.

What a wonderful way to start the weekend---with swings, slides and lots of smiles.

It's 2011

Happy 2011!

New Years 2010
Kate is that really you?

So, I'm kinda in a blogging slump (if you couldn't tell!) I have a list of good ole' New Year's resolutions and I hate to say it but blogging did not top the list. I am in the process of turning in my "One FREE playroom" coupon from my dear hubby. I gave him the deadline of Feb 1st. (Stay tuned for pictures.) He is slowly turning our never used office to a fun toy filled playroom for our active almost 14 month old. 14 MONTH old--seriously? Kate is way too funny these days and is quite the chatter box. She LOVES Elmo, baby dolls, her new "Bear-Bear" and to shout AMEN! I am 100% sure cousin Noah taught her the loud and proud AMEN.

Here are a few of Kate's New Year's Resolutions for 2011----

Organize the kitchen cabinets

Put away all the old toys we do not use anymore

Have lots of friends over, like sweet Addison, and share all my toys.

Learn some manners AND how to use a fork

Keep all hats on my head

Learn to play the drums

And last but not least....

Practice all my new AWESOME dance moves.

Happy 2011.
