Fun with Friends

What a week! The girls and I have been busy little bees. We are trying to make the most out of our summer days. On Friday we met a few (by a few I mean 10 friends) at Shipley's Donuts. It was such a treat. Abbey & Kate were in heaven with their pink sprinkled donuts and all their best buds.

All the kids were in LOVE with baby Paige. They were all wanting to tickle her toes and give her lots of attention. Paige didn't seem to mind at all!!
My dad took the girls and this momma to Marble Slab on Wednesday night. Both girls got black cherry ice cream just like their Pa. Or Grandpa as Kate says.

Here are a few more pics from our week!

oh these curls!
We picked some blackberries on Monday.  There is a neat little farmers market/ veggie stand near our house.  Kate loved it and Abbey squished them in her chubby little hands!

As I am typing this, I am realizing this was a VERY sugary week :) We also went to get snow cones with our fun neighbors Amber, Charlie and Anna. All 4 girls got rainbow flavored and loved the treat! It was been HOUSTON HOT here this week. We got to play in a "new" splash pad with Charlie and Anna too!

Noah's 4th BDAY party

He is 4. How can that be? Noah was all smiles and pink cheeks at his 4th BDAY party.

We celebrated at a gymnastics place in Katy. Abbey and Kate had a ball! Abbey loved the trampolines. I swear, she is getting so big.

Kate enjoyed the big colorful parachute, the rings and was a little iffy about jumping into the pit.

Both my girls, loved the Avengers BDAY cake with very blue icing.

Noah was super brave and had a smile the entire hour and a half.
It was great to celebrate such a special and fun-loving little guy. We love you Noah! You make our hearts so happy.

Father's Day 2013

Kate made Erik a nice variety of Father's Day gifts at school and we got him some new golf shoes. Seriously, he deserved new clubs, a new bag and a membership to the local golf club! Erik does so much for us and never EVER complains. He is such a loving, patient and sweet Daddy to our girls. God knew exactly what he was doing giving him two precious girly girls.
We started our day with church. My parents even joined us-Kate and Abbey were so surprised to have Mimi and Pa pick them up from their classes. My mom was heading to Europe for a 12 day vacation, so they were off the the airport after church. We headed to Wings N More for lunch. Erik loves this place and Kate loved the fried pickles! Both girls were very well behaved, and Erik enjoyed his lunch.
We had Don and my Dad over for dinner. The two of them always talk sports and enjoyed watching the end of the golf tournament that was on.
It was a really good day celebrating Erik and our dads.

King George

A couple weekends ago I (not we) got to go on a little vacation! My sweet dad bought my mom, Sis and I tickets to see George Strait!!! It was in San Antonio, so I picked up Courtney and we headed to the river house. We had such a fun time! We needed a little rest, relaxation, time with my parents and some good ole TX wine!! My parents even got us some cowboy boots.
We have always loved George Strait at our house. Erik and I danced to the song, "Carried Away" at our wedding. Kate used to love to hear "Amarillo by Morning" before she went to sleep! We are all big fans. To see him in concert with my mom and Sis was AMAZING, and something I will never forget. Thank you a million times Dad- it was one for the record books. And thanks to my hubby for being super dad while I was gone :)

Memorial day 2013

RAIN!!! It rained and rained at the river! I am not talking about a nice Hill Country shower. With 4 kids under 4 we would have LOVED some sunshine.  We made the best of it :) playing in the sprinklers in our jammies ( during the 30 minutes it was not raining on Friday morning),

playing in the kiddie pool under the bottom deck, washing hot wheels and enjoying our family.

Court and Kevin were in sunny beautiful Santa Barbara for a friends wedding, so my parents had the kids.  Kate and Abbey loved spending uninterrupted time with their cousins.   Grace has taken a big liking to her Uncle E and it is so funny!
Pa took Noah and Kate to a bouncy place in New Braunfels- all by himself!  They stayed WAY past nap time and each came home worn out holding a Whataburger Milkshake :) Abbey just adores Gracie.  They actually play really well together.

Mimi loved on all 4 of her grand kids and embraced all the chaos.  Erik made us some yummy key lime martinis one night.  Just what the Momma and the Mimi needed.  Despite the rain, we were glad to get away to the River House.  We headed home Sunday evening and relaxed most of Monday.  We headed to some neighborhood friends house for some hot dogs and FUN!  They have this huge water slide that both girls loved.  I wish I would have had my camera on me.  It was so great seeing the girls play with their sweet friends and each other.  I snapped a few before we left.  Abbey was rocking the pig tails and Kate was rocking her silly face.

This picture really makes me think of Erik's mom.  Susie was always making a silly face just like this one ;)
Thanks for checking in!
