Come here Cousin!

Kate and Abbey got to spend 3 whole days with Noah and Grace.  It was crazy, fun and busy busy-just the way we like it.  Courtney and Kevin were moving into their new house, so the kiddos got a little vacation in Spring.  My dad even took off on Friday to hang out with his 4 little loves. We started the day at Shipley's Donuts.  Does it get any better than that?  All 4 kids were holding hands when we left and were grinning from ear to ear.  Next, Noah requested Bouncin' Bears!  Of course, Pa was all about it.  So, we headed there next.  The bigs ran, jumped and laughed.  Kate and Noah LOVED it.  Gracie and Abbey even got in on the action.  Pa took both of the little girls down the biggest slide in the place.  Not bad for a Friday morning, huh Dad :)  Thankfully, all napped and then met back up at our house for a little painting.  We had bought 4 big white foam boards at the dollar store along with lots of fun supplies (paint, dish washer brushes and fly swatters) My dad taped the foam board on our fence and the kids went at it.  It was such a beautiful afternoon I was glad to get them outside.  It was so hilarious watching all 4 paint and their little quirks.  Noah was the neatest and was really concentrating.  Kate was a free spirit painting her entire board and covered from head to toe.  Gracie was excited and loved using the real paintbrushes and requesting different colors of paint.  Then there was Abbey.  She liked mixing the water.  Dumping paint into the water and occasionally painting on her board,  My dad and I definitely enjoyed a nice cold beer and soaked up the fun afternoon :)  The kids ended the day by riding their hot wheels shouting."Cousin, come here!"

Erik was in charge the entire day Saturday.  My mom and I headed to Katy to help my Sis.  The new house is just beautiful.  I think the kitchen is my favorite.  Courtney did an amazing job picking out everything.  I still don't know how you did it, Sis :)
The girls went to Denny's, the grocery store and swimming with their Pa, Cousins and Daddy.  Talk about a busy FUN weekend.
The girls loved all the COUSIN time :)

Abbey is getting BIG!

19 months old to be exact. She is learning and changing each and every day.  Lately, she has been demanding WALK everywhere and insists on holding Sissy's hand.  It is cute but a SLOW walk.  Good thing this Momma is patient!  She still loves to eat and refuses to sit in her booster seat.  They dine at the new table with 4 chairs.  Abbey demands sitting in the yellow chair and she demands Kate sits in pink.  Luckily, Kate usually obliges which keeps the peace.

Abbey still snuggles her lovie formally known as Bun-Bun.  Well, now its name is Mae-Mae.  Abbey picked the name. Funny story--My good friend, Erin, suggested we buy another Mae-Mae in case ours got lost.  You see, Abbey takes it everywhere (church, HEB, Kate's school...you get the picture) So, we did.  We put it away and you will never believe who found it--ABBEY.  She immediately hugged and squeezed it like it was the best day ever.  I didn't have the heart to take it away so now she has Mae-Mae and More Mae-Mae--pick you battles, right? :)
Bubbles make her day

ADORES her Mimi
Yummy Jello
She is talking so much more.  Erik usually puts her to bed and sings her I'm a Little Tea Pot or ABC's.  Those are the only two she likes these days.  Abbey loves the bath and requests "JETS" all the time.  What girl doesn't love a whirl pool tub?!

We love that she likes being on the go and has fun almost anywhere.  Bubble Guppies is her choice of DVD  She is so funny and we hear 10 million times a day ABBEY.  When it is her turn this is what she says- not mine but Abbey.
I am long overdue for a post about our sweet Babber Boo.  I am so happy that you are 19 months old and such a loveable, funny sweet angel.

Cousin Pictures for Mimi

A couple weeks ago we got some priceless pictures of Noah, Grace, Kate and Abbey.  Courtney and I thought it would be the perfect gift for our mom!  They turned out better than we could have imagined.  Here are a few of my favorites.

They were taken at my parent's house.  All 4 kids did great.  This will be something we will always treasure.

Easter 2013 River Style

The girls and I headed to the river the Wednesday before Easter.  Mimi was brave enough to join us :)  We love going on these fun vacations.  The bluebonnets are out and everything is turning green. We even saw some crazy folks tubing the river.  We had tons of fun, especially at the Easter Party on Saturday.  I have really tried to take a lot of pictures lately, so get ready!  Here is our Easter 2013 through the eyes of this lucky momma.

The girls had a mini scavenger hunt to find their baskets.  Kate was not happy that the Easter bunny did not wash her new Hello Kitty cup and Abbey loved her Bubble Guppies DVD.  We had a wonderful time celebrating this important holiday.
Thanks for checking in!
