Royal Ball

Tonight, after bath time, Kate insisted on a "Royal Ball." We have been reading a few "Princess Stories" (don't roll your eyes Courtney!) lately.  She put on her fancy outfit and was ready to dance with her Daddy.  Well, little Abbey wanted in on the action too!  Kate was more than happy to invite Abbey to the Ball :) Although, Kate said, "No picture taking at the Ball."- Sorry Princess Kate.  It really was a sweet moment I will always cherish.  How blessed we are to have 2 girls!!
I am going to bed tonight with a grateful heart and a smile thanking the good Lord for my happily ever after.

Three

Our sassy Kate is now 3!  We had a small party for her Sunday night.  She requested a Princess Party with a "fancy vanilla cake with pink icing." So, that is what the birthday princess got.  We were in need of some celebrating and joy and that is what we got.

These two had a blast in the moonwalk!  Kate said, "I can't wait until Nonie gets here.  I am going to give him a BIG squeeze."

The cake---thanks for the idea Courtney :)
 Time for your check-up Kiki!

Coach and Tucker enjoying the princess party!

Sweet Addison jumped and jumped!

On Monday, her actual birthday, we went to Los Cucos per Kate's request.  My big girl sure loves her some green sauce :)

But she did NOT love the whip cream in her face.  Sorry Kate!  It was "NOT funny" to take the words from your mouth.
We love you big girl.

Teaching the word thankful

So, today I was explaining to Kate the word thankful. I was telling her it meant what you are really happy about.
She then told me she was super thankful for her little sister. Trust me, it isn't always that sweet in this house! That's why I had to record it on my little blog :)
But in the next breath she told me she was thankful we found Lily (Dora's little sister pictured below) omg! Really Kate!!

Trick or Treat 2012

Our sweet friends, The Amends, had the whole crew over for our Trick or Treating festivities.  We enjoyed some pizza and all the cute kiddos costumes.  I even convinced Kate to wear her Dr.'s coat for most of the night.  We had a long line of golf carts cruising around the neighborhood with some crazy kids on them :)  I'm sad to say, me and my little butterfly missed out on the actual trick or treating part.  Kate and her Pirate Daddy sure had a blast though!!  Erik said Kate was way into it this year.  She was happy to give me the peanut M&M's I requested.

The big trick was on me when my camera battery died at the beginning of the night!
