We have a name...

So, we have decided on a name for our sweet little miracle. Abbey Lynn will be joining our family in September. We will ask Kate what her baby sissy's name is and she says, "Abbey!" It is so cute. Erik and I both love the fact that our baby girls will be Kate and Abbey and will be 22 months apart. Lynn is Erik's mom's middle name, and we couldn't think of anything more special for our baby girl.

I just got Abbey's bedding in and we are about to start on her room. Let the fun of two little girls begin. Erik is thrilled :)

Thanks for checking in on our growing family.

Easter 2011

Easter 2011 was spent at the Dabdupppeee (as Kate says) River. We had the whole family---even sweet little Gracie girl was in on the fun! We all went enjoyed our little get a way. We are so glad mom and dad decided to build their river house!! Our long weekend was full of egg hunts, swimming in the river, playing, laughing, eating, playing ring-around-the-rosy and even kayaking.

Just for fun here is Easter 2010

I wonder where they get their serious expressions!--HA

We raced home from the river on Sunday morning. We made it to Carl and Traci's just in time to sing Coach Happy Birthday! (Which happens to be one of Kate's fav. songs!) We got to see Susu, Joe, Karen, Janelle, Traci, Carl and Tripp. Kate got lots of Easter goodies and had fun playing in Tripp's moonwalk and his new sprinkler toy.

(Just think next Easter we will have 2 more babies in this pic)

We hope your Easter was full of family, fellowship and FUN! Thanks to everyone who spoiled our sweet girl.

Old McDonald's Farm

It was such a BEAUTIFUL day, so we packed up Kate and cousin Noah and headed to Old McDonald's Farm in Humble. One of my neighbors recommended it, and the kiddos loved it! Even Su-Su (Erik's mom) joined in for the fun! Noah and Kate were both pretty brave when it came to the animals. Noah fed a goat from his hand, and Kate rode on a horse named Tex! They loved the chickens, bunny rabbits and the wild peacock roaming the grounds. Noah kept asking, "Uncle E, what's that?" By the time we were leaving they both were making the sound the peacock made. Don't ask me!! We also rode on a choo choo, ate a yummy picnic lunch, climbed a big sand hill, and played on a fun playground. We were all exhausted from the exciting morning! Here are a few of the pictures.

These two are so silly together! We love them both so much.

Picture Post

So, here are a few pictures of the fun we've had the past 2 weekends. We went to the river with my parents, I saw some old college friends and we celebrated a couple of special birthdays. Oh, the joys of Spring!

Can you say "Look alike!"

I have a few more to add, but I have a million other things to do right now! I'll leave you with how I picked up Kate from my neighbor's house the other day! I had to go tutor and this is what I came home too! Love it :)
