A message from Jesus & Susu

The other day I accidentally hit the play button on our home answering machine. We heard Susu and Don's voice. I don't think they knew they were leaving a message. It was muffled but I could tell it was Susie. The message was probably from a year ago! I made a comment that I hear Susu's voice ;) Kate looked up from her play dough and said,"Is that Jesus's voice too?" oh sweet girl! I told her it was not Jesus. Kate laughed and said,"Oh silly me! I thought Jesus and Susu were calling from heaven!" I was speechless, happy and sad all in that moment. Oh how we miss our Susie!

1st day of school 2013

All 3 girls in our family started school the first week of September! This is Kate's 3rd year at our preschool! It was been such a wonderful blessing for her ;) She is going 3 days and can't get enough of her sweet teachers. Abbey seems happy too! She tells me,"I cry mommy!" but her teachers assure me she is participating and adjusting. Mae-Mae and More Mae-Mae are going too ;) I'm sure her teachers love her two lovies! She even naps at school--unlike her big sister (who NEVER has).
I started teaching there this year too. It is only twice a week and so far so good! I have a bunch of sweet kiddos in my class and I love my co-teacher.

 We are all adjusting to a new routine and are thankful for our wonderful school!

Abbey is 2

Sweet Abbey,
Happy Birthday!!  You are officially 2!!  We love you so much and you add so much FUN to our family.  You are very into music right now and LOVE to sing & dance.  Kate is by far your best friend.  You are always asking, "Where's MY Kate?" You two truly love each other and it makes our hearts so happy.  We had a fun little Dora swim party for you.  All your cousins were there and your best friends, Parker and Addison.  Mimi and Pa were so nice to let us celebrate you at their house.  You loved everything about it- especially when we all were singing Happy Birthday to YOU :)  You were so brave and went down the water slide lots of times.  We love every inch of you, sweet girl!
Today we dropped Kate off at school and headed to Shipley's with Daddy (just the 3 of us!) Next, we went to the merry go round at the mall.  YOU LOVED IT ALL.  It made our heatrs so happy getting to spend the morning celebrating YOU!  Tonght you and Sissy are going on a dinner and ice cream date with Mimi and Pa.
Abbey, we thank God for your sweet smile and the blessing you are to all our lives. Happy 2nd Birthday.

Labor Day at the RIVER

We had the most enjoyable long weekend at the river!  The girls and I stopped by my sister's house for some fun cousin time. Kate and Abbey got to meet Luna for the 1st time.  If you know my girls, they are so scared of dogs.  But by the end of the morning they were both petting adorable Luna! Erik met us around lunch time and we were off!  It was a much needed, very FUN end to summer.  Kate and Abbey went on lots of  "Adventures" as Kate likes to call our outings :) Here is a list of the fun!!
-Sweeties donuts TWO times!  Ms. Linda was so happy to see the girls.
-Swimming in Canyon Lake.  Kate was not scared this time --- YAY!
-Abbey saying Guadalupe and being in a tube like a BIG girl
-Kate sitting on Mimi's lap and being pulled by Pa in the kayak! 
-Kate going to see Planes with Pa
-Dance party and learning some new moves
-Looking for Armadillos and Raccoons
And much much more!

Thanks Mom and Dad for building such a wonderful and relaxing place to all be together.  We will be back very soon.
